Central Coast Business Owner Wins National Award
United Staffing Associates (USA), owner and CEO, David Elson was chosen as
PlanetOut’s 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year. Chosen for his inspirational combination
of financial success and involvement with the LGBT community, Elson received
$10,000 cash, $10,000 in advertising and a trip to the Out & Equal Workplace Summit
in Washington D.C. to receive his award. Held from the Hilton Washington
September 27-29, the Summit hosted workshops, receptions and keynote speakers
that included Chrissy Ghephardt, Dr. Bernice Johnson Reagon, John Amaechi,
and Brian Graden. |

Business Owner Gives To Community
United Staffing Associates (USA), owner and CEO, David Elson has donated to the
Gay and Lesbian Alliance of the Central Coast (GALA) and AIDS related charities
over the years because he wants to make a difference to humankind. “I think you
need to be involved. If you can afford to help out, wherever you can, I think you
should.” Elson said. GALA celebrated Elson’s PlanetOut Entrepreneur of the Year
award October 12, 2007 at the Courtyard by Marriott in San Luis Obispo.
