SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIFORNIA (October 2, 2009) - Betsey Nash , SPHR, human resources consultant with United Staffing Associates, recently attended a seminar on "State Labor & Payroll Tax Laws." It was led by Joni Keller (Deputy Labor Commissioner of the California Department of Labor Standards Enforcement ) & Michal Millenheft (Employment Tax Consultant for the Employment Development Department ). This seminar included information on critical & new regulations surrounding the employee / employer / government relationship.

Keeping current on such issues is one of the requirements for maintaining Nash's certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. Other requirements include developing curriculum, training employees, & strategic planning. Nash has been certified by the Human Resources Certification Institute since 2003 & is the current President of the Human Resources Association of the Central Coast .
