Will collect & review Certified Payroll Reports (CPR) and supporting payroll records (statements of compliance, fringe benefit statements, deductions, apprentice registration, etc.) for general engineering company, which are submitted by prime & subcontractors. Methods for collecting data will include both web-based applications & hard copy submissions. Duties include: Working with appropriate agency on identifying applicability of state/federal prevailing wage requirements as well as providing state & federal prevailing wage rates for labor compliance support; Facilitating proper reporting of prevailing wages, fringe benefits, apprentice utilization, & resolution of employee wage violations; Issuing requests for missing & revised documentation & corresponding with applicable contractor’s staff to ensure compliance; Completing audits & calculating underpayments, fines, & penalties if applicable; Communicating with contractors to resolve discrepancies/inadequacies relative to CPR submittals; Establishing case files reflecting all appropriate documentation; Working with tracking software to review & approve certified payroll & payroll documents; Composing letters requesting payments & following up with third-party requestors when sending information; Establishing files reflecting all appropriate documentation; Tracking changes & updating to state & federal labor compliance & prevailing wage regulations & standards; Applying changes/updates to agency/client labor compliance procedures & practices; Preparing for & providing information to comply with requests & responding to requests for certified payroll/labor compliance-related documents; Performing other duties as assigned. Required qualifications: 2-5 yrs exp. supporting public works labor compliance programs; Direct exp. from public agency, construction management consulting firm, compliance consulting firm, local union, or general/sub-contracting firm; Possess strong working knowledge of computer programs; Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Starting pay rate ultimately depends on experience.
