Duties include: Identifying & prioritizing energy saving measures; Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency; Preparing audit reports containing energy analysis results or recommendations for energy cost savings; Preparing financial documents, reports, or budgets; Inspecting or evaluating building envelopes, mechanical systems, electrical systems, or process systems to determine energy consumption of each system; Inspecting facilities or equipment to ensure specifications are met; Performing tests such as blower-door & duct blast tests to locate air leaks; Educating customers on energy efficiency or answering questions on topics such as costs of running household appliances or selection of energy efficient appliances; Calculating data to inform organizational operations; Recommending energy efficient technologies or alternate energy sources; Preparing job specification sheets for home energy improvements, such as attic insulation, window retrofits, heating & cooling system upgrades, water heating systems, residential appliances, & fuel switching; Developing technical specifications for systems or equipment; Analyzing technical feasibility of energy saving measures using knowledge of engineering, energy production, energy use, construction, maintenance, system operation, or process systems; Assessing cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services; Measuring energy usage with devices such as data loggers, universal data recorders, light meters, sling psychrometers, psychrometric charts, flue gas analyzers, amp probes, watt meters, volt meters, thermometers or utility meters. Required qualifications: Active CA driver’s license; Bilingual; Pass background check. Position is 40 hrs/wk. Wage: $18.17 hr. (#2.1011.103 – Visalia)
