Finish Carpenter

Need skilled tradesperson to be responsible for precise installation, maintenance, & repair of interior & exterior finish carpentry elements in commercial buildings. Duties include: Performing installation & assembly, customization, material selection, & finish work (including sanding, staining, painting, quality control, collaboration, repairs, & maintenance). Required qualifications: Completion of recognized carpentry apprenticeship program or equivalent work exp.; Proficiency in using various carpentry tools & equipment including saws, routers, sanders, & nail guns; In-depth knowledge of different types of wood, materials, & finishing techniques; Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, & design plans; Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements & calculations; High level of craftsmanship; Attention-to-detail; Expertise in working with various materials to create aesthetically pleasing & functional architectural features; Keen eye for aesthetics; Physical stamina & dexterity to perform tasks that involve lifting, standing, bending, & operating tools for extended periods; Excellent problem-solving & critical-thinking skills; Effective communication & teamwork abilities. Prior exp. in commercial construction or finish carpentry preferred. Full-time, Temp-to-Hire position. Generous benefits offered upon conversion. Wage: $35.00-$45.00 hr. DOE.
