Duties include: Supervising daily shift operations; Training & overseeing employees to follow company policies; Scheduling employees & resolving daily scheduling issues; Tracking employees hours & preventing overtime; Interviewing, hiring, & recruiting new employees; Handling employee discipline & termination; Filling in when needed in event of call outs & time off; Being capable in all operations in both front & back of house; Ensuring customer satisfaction in all aspects & resolving customer complaints; Maintaining communication with vendors to ensure product quality; Maintaining cleanliness all around especially in food prep, service, or seating areas; Alerting technicians to malfunctioning equipment & ensuring everything is running properly; Describing menu items to customers, or suggesting products that might appeal to them; Ordering, receiving, or stocking supplies or retail products; Providing customers with product details or preparation descriptions; Controlling operational cost & finding ways to cut waste; Checking sales reports daily & assuring end of day cash outs are done correctly; Taking customer orders & conveying them to other employees for preparation; Maintaining employee relations & ensuring healthy work environment; Interacting with guests to get feedback on product quality & service levels; Creating signs to advertise store products or events; Demonstrating use of retail equipment, such as POS machines; Preparing or serving menu items, such as sandwiches or salads.
