Duties include: Assisting in administration of human resources/employee relations policies & programs; Assisting in conducting investigation of employee relations issues, including safety; Consulting with & advising new employees on eligibility for insurance & other benefits; Coordinating employee activities & other events at direction of Human Resources Manager; Assisting Human Resources Manager on Workers' Compensation issues; Assisting with recruiting, including job postings for plant & farming operations; Leading new hire orientation process & completing new hire documents; Entering new hire, terminations, disciplinary actions, training, & other pertinent employee information into HRIS system; Consulting with managers & supervisors in responding to employee relations/performance management issues; Assisting Human Resources Manager with open enrollment process; Protecting confidentiality of personnel records; Assisting HR Manager with yearly Ethical & Benefit Audits; Providing Leave of Absence (FMLA) assistance to inquiring employees & assisting in managing FMLA process; Maintaining all records & files related to job responsibilities in organized manner in accordance with appropriate retention guidelines; Assisting in managing Employment Training Program (ETP); Providing training or training resources as needed; Providing backup support to HR-Payroll duties as needed (including: Handling routine questions & requests for employment verifications & other personnel & payroll records; Responding to unemployment, disability, & FMLA claims); Performing other tasks & special projects as assigned. 6-month duration.
