Housekeeper

Duties include: Maintaining complete knowledge of & complying with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards; Anticipating guests’ needs by responding promptly & acknowledging all guests; Monitoring & maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, & organization of assigned work areas; Using correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces according to OSHA regulations & hotel requirements; Cleaning & servicing guest rooms by assignment, category, & priority; Transporting cart with cleaning supplies, amenities, & linens to assigned guest room & positioning securely; Removing all dirty terry & linen & replacing with clean par to designated layout; Removing soil, dirt, soap build-up, & hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain, & floor; Replacing all guestroom items required by SOP; Cleaning closets & door tracks on check-out rooms & ensuring correct amount & placement of hangers, extra blanket/pillow, & luggage rack; Opening all drawers/doors in check-out rooms & removing items left by guests; Checking under bed(s), chairs, & sofa for debris & removing if present; Removing all dust, debris, & foreign particles from furniture, drapes, mini bar, doors, walls, & fixtures; Emptying liquid from ice bucket & wiping all surfaces dry; Removing trash, debris, & cobwebs from balcony/patio; Ensuring presence of fire safety, rate cards, & DND sign; Vacuuming carpet in guest room; Updating status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheet; Returning & restocking cart at end of shift; Emptying vacuum bag & wiping vacuum clean; Turning over any lost & found items from guest rooms to Supervisor; Following all additional duties as assigned by management. Required qualifications: Previous housekeeping exp.; Able to follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, & safety standards as well as safety & security procedures; Ability to work cohesively with co-workers & all departments as part of team; Able to follow all appropriate policies & procedures while constantly striving to improve standards of operations; Able to adhere to attendance & reliability standards. Full-time, Temp-to-Hire position. Wage: $18.00 hr. (#6.1014.106 – San Luis Obispo)
