Lead Cook

We are seeking an experienced Lead Cook for a private school in Ojai, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong cooking & leadership experience, enjoy preparing home-style meals, & be comfortable leading kitchen staff while mentoring student workers. Only candidates with relevant cooking & leadership experience should apply. Duties include: Preparing quality home-style meals for breakfast, lunch, & dinner service; Leading, training, & supporting kitchen staff & student workers; Providing guidance & mentorship to students working in kitchen; Maintaining high standards of food quality, sanitation, cleanliness, & safety; Following established recipes, procedures, & dietary/allergy requirements. Required qualifications: Food Handler Card; Previous Lead Cook, Kitchen Lead, or supervisory exp.; Exp. with home-style cooking; Dependable, professional, & comfortable working in school environment.
