Superintendent

United Staffing Associates is seeking a self-motivated Superintendent for a local construction company to manage multiple complex residential & commercial builds. The ideal candidate is a quick learner that thrives in a fast-paced work environment from scope through cover up. This position is considered Full-time & Temp-to-Hire. Duties include: Reviewing engineers' scope definition, preliminary plans, drawings, & specifications for project; Determining construction, installation, & infrastructure requirements; Evaluating conditions in field; Developing detailed project schedules & construction timelines; Attending site walks & working with subcontractors to develop scopes on all projects; Reviewing all proposals received from subcontractors to ensure compliance with project requirements; Working with subcontractors & suppliers to secure accurate specifications, quotes, & terms; Proactively addressing delays & sequencing conflicts; Sending out consistent updates on projects via email; Managing construction staff; Working with staff on resolutions; Managing site civil, concrete, & framing scopes; Ensuring proper layout footings, siding, & finish carpentry; Providing onsite problem resolutions; Inspecting concrete; Resolving challenging framing scopes; Frame plating & detailing; Maintaining safe job site & enforcing safety protocols; Ensuring proper PPE is worn on job sites; Acknowledging & following company safety program; Ensuring company confidentiality policies are being met; Required qualifications: 3+ yrs similar exp.; Knowledge of engineering & construction disciplines; Working knowledge of plan sets; Ability to demonstrate leadership & excellent management skills but also work independently; Possess communication & interpersonal skills; Ability to estimate multiple projects at one time; Possess great organizational skills, accountability, & attention-to-detail.
