Youth Development Professional
United Staffing Associates is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, community-based nonprofit dedicated to helping young people reach their full potential. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable individual to support youth in an after-school program and help create a positive, structured, and engaging environment where they feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged.
In this role, you will serve as both a program leader and mentor, building meaningful connections with youth while helping them develop confidence, strengthen positive relationships, and stay engaged through a variety of educational, recreational, and enrichment activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with organized activities, enrichment opportunities, and group programs.
• Supervise approximately 20 youth and help maintain a safe, positive, and structured environment.
• Encourage participation, teamwork, and positive interactions.
• Provide basic academic and activity support.
• Prepare and organize program areas, materials, and supplies.
• Maintain attendance records and other basic program documentation.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to support daily programs and activities.
• Assist with general program needs as assigned.
• Candidates who are comfortable and qualified to do so may also assist with transporting youth in a company van.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Previous experience working with youth.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, professional, and able to serve as a positive role model.
• Ability to provide appropriate structure while remaining encouraging and approachable.
• Good organizational skills and basic computer proficiency.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a minimum of 48 college units, possess a paraeducator certificate, or be willing to obtain a paraeducator certificate.
• Employees who assist with transporting youth in a company van must possess a valid driver’s license. Driving duties are optional and are not required for this position.

Temporary or Temp-to-Hire, Part-Time
Schedule:
Preferred availability is Monday through Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Actual work hours will vary based on program needs and responsibilities. Some scheduling flexibility may be available for qualified candidates who are unable to meet the full preferred availability window. This is a part-time position averaging approximately 25–28 hours per week.
Compensation:
$18.50–$21.50 per hour, depending on experience.
