Cemetery Groundskeeper

United Staffing Associates is recruiting on behalf of a local cemetery district for a skilled, reliable, & detail-oriented Groundskeeper to help maintain beautiful & respectful grounds. This role involves hands-on work in landscaping, grounds maintenance, & equipment operation. Duties include: Maintaining lawns, landscaped areas, & grave sites, including trimming, weeding, & pruning; Collecting & removing debris, flowers, & other materials, in accordance with policy, to keep grounds clean & orderly; Operating & performing routine maintenance on landscaping & groundskeeping equipment; Assisting with irrigation system upkeep & general watering tasks; Supporting minor landscaping & concrete work, including leveling markers & assisting with installations; Performing basic repairs on tools, equipment, & facilities as needed; Implementing pest & weed control measures; Following safety procedures & participating in safety meetings; Communicating & working closely with Office Manager & Board of Trustees, following established procedures & completing assigned tasks independently & to standards; Performing other duties as assigned. Required qualifications: High school diploma/equivalent; At least 1 yr. exp. in landscaping, groundskeeping, or related work; Valid CA driver’s license & proof of insurance; Ability to operate & maintain landscaping equipment safely, including tractors; Knowledge of basic plant care & disease recognition; Strong attention-to-detail & professional, courteous demeanor. Schedule will be approx. 30 hours per week. Typical schedule will include 6-hr. shifts Mon-Fri, with variability based on cemetery needs. This includes working weekend shifts as needed for burial services. Wage: $17.00-$20.00 hr. DOE. (#5.1112.101 – Paso Robles)
