Computer & Information Systems Coordinator (Temporary)

This position is responsible for overseeing computer network, as well as individual staff computers. It is principally involved with responsibility for computerization of information systems, as well as computerization of operational needs of other departments, including overseeing maintenance of website. Duties include: Assisting office with computer & software related problems & issues; Assisting individual departments in development, design, & updating of database programs, in addition to maintenance of variety of databases; Exchanging information with other agencies concerning development of common computer procedures & practices; Researching needed equipment, software, required utilities/services, & costs to fulfill goals & objectives; Preparing comprehensive reports & plans for implementation; Evaluating & developing improvements in operations, procedures, & methods; Organizing & maintaining accurate records & files documenting computer & software installations & changes; Performing other duties as assigned. Required qualifications: Associate’s Degree or 2 full academic yrs of attendance at accredited college or university with major in computer science, computer programming, business administration, or related fields; 3 yrs increasingly responsible exp. in computer-related field, with work in database management, web-site construction, network development & implementation, & programming; Knowledge of computer programming, HTML development, database management, network function & structure, computer development in both hardware & software; Knowledge of computer operating systems: Windows including ’98, 2000, NT, XP, VISTA through current (e.g. LINUX, CITRIX) & related applications: Adobe, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Outlook, & MS Publisher - current versions; Knowledge of computer repair, maintenance, & troubleshooting, & use of related diagnostic tools & equipment.
