The Controller will report directly to the COO. This role offers the opportunity to manage all accounting activities while leading & mentoring a talented accounting team. As Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our client's company culture & driving long-term strategic growth. Duties include: Overseeing & managing audits including 401k, worker’s compensation, ICR Indirect Cost Rate Audit (FAR), accounting processes, & internal controls; Collaborating with workgroup principals, market sector leaders, fellow managers, & associates in updating & fulfilling Strategic Plan goals; Reviewing Acquisitions Regulation (FAR) billing rates & financial statements; Maintaining & developing annual budgets & Business Plan structure; Preparing Month-End & Year-End Close reporting financials in timely manner; Performing Cash Flow analysis & management; Continuously conducting research, development, & improvement related to software, processes, efficiency, strategic planning, & trends & practices; Overseeing accounting department that includes A/P & A/R, Collections, & Payroll; Providing leadership development & mentorship within accounting department. Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; 10 + yrs exp. working as Controller or related financial leadership positions; Passion for mentoring & building high-performing teams; Strong leadership, analytical, & communication skills. CPA is a plus. Exp. in ESOP, AEC, FAR, or prevailing wage is a plus. Exp. in architecture, engineering, or planning firm is a plus. Full-time, Direct Hire position. Wage: $125,000-$160,000 yr.
