Facilities Assistant (Part-Time)

Need Facilities Assistant to perform custodial, facilities maintenance, & kitchen tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys diverse responsibilities, takes pride in keeping spaces clean, enjoys outdoor work, & can assist with preparing simple meals or snacks. You'll play a key role in ensuring the facility remains clean, organized, & inviting for all who visit. Duties include: Maintaining cleanliness & supplies of public restrooms, performing checks at least twice daily; Emptying trash cans, replacing liners, & ensuring trash containers are not overfilled; Cleaning & disinfecting surfaces to prevent smudges, stains, & germs; Reporting any vandalism, safety concerns, or suspicious activity to supervisor; Organizing & safely storing cleaning tools & supplies after use; Complying with all safety & accident prevention procedures; Performing gardening & landscape maintenance, keeping all outdoor areas neat & well-maintained; Performing light maintenance tasks including basic plumbing or facility touch-ups; Assisting in kitchen by preparing light meals or snacks as requested by management; Keeping kitchen prep areas clean & organized, following all hygiene protocols. Required qualifications: 6+ months exp.; Understanding of cleaning supplies, disinfection procedures, & light maintenance work; Organized, proactive, & takes pride in keeping facilities safe & presentable; Follows directions well & works independently; Knowledgeable about tools & equipment, including proper cleaning, care, & storage practices. Prior custodial, janitorial, or maintenance exp. preferred. Basic knowledge of landscaping & plumbing a plus. English/Spanish bilingual a plus. Anticipated schedule is Sat-Mon/9:30am-4:30pm.
