Facilities Maintenance Assistant

United Staffing Associates is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support the maintenance & administrative functions of a large property. This role combines hands-on facility care with technical & organizational responsibilities, including scheduling, documentation, & vendor coordination. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working both independently & collaboratively performing maintenance, tracking projects, & supporting management with reporting, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), & maintenance planning using MS Word & Excel. Duties include: Supporting Facilities Manager with maintenance scheduling, project tracking, & inventory management; Using MS Word & Excel to prepare RFPs, update inventory records, maintain master maintenance schedule, & document ongoing projects; Inspecting facilities, equipment, & systems regularly to ensure safe & proper operation; Performing light maintenance & repairs in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, & general facility upkeep; Maintaining outdoor & landscaped areas, including trimming, irrigation, & groundskeeping; Conducting minor masonry, paver, or stucco repairs when needed; Operating maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, & power tools safely; Maintaining organized storage & tool areas; Ensuring all safety protocols are followed; Reporting facility, equipment, or safety concerns promptly to management; Participating in weekly meetings & providing on-call support for occasional emergencies. Required qualifications: Min. 3 yrs exp. in facility maintenance, repair, or related trades; Exp. maintaining landscaping & grounds, including irrigation & plant care;  Proficient in MS Word & Excel; Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, & irrigation systems; Strong organizational & communication skills with great attention-to-detail; Dependable, punctual, & committed to safety & quality standards; Ability to operate maintenance tools, vehicles, & small machinery. Familiarity with masonry, concrete, & paver work preferred. Valid driver’s license preferred. 9:00am-4:30pm. Part-time position. Wage: $20.00 hr. (#5.1027.101 – Paso Robles)
