Family Service Counselor

Needed in Delano, CA. Under the direction of the Managing Funeral Director, the Family Service Counselor is accountable for serving client families by making at-need cemetery arrangements & selling pre-need arrangements. The Family Service Counselor serves families by providing exemplary personalized service, & acts as the primary contact for families. Duties include: Meeting monthly & quarterly; Effectively communicating with mortuaries & families via personal contact, telephone, & online, both in office &/or at home, as necessary; Maintaining good relations with internal & external customers & its affiliated companies; Holding self-accountable for prospecting; Following through on all Contracts, Memorial Orders, customer concerns, & requests; Maintaining & tracking activity levels in CRM System & Passare Funeral Service Software; Directing funeral services as needed; Performing other duties as assigned. Required qualifications: High school diploma (Associate degree preferred); 2-5 yrs customer service or sales industry exp.; Ability to obtain Sales License from State of Calif. Dept. of Counselors Affairs, Cemetery & Funeral Division; Hold current arrangement certificate; Hold valid CA state-issued driver's license; Able to operate PC with excellent MS Office software skills; Knowledge of CRM systems & other company operating platforms, such as Zoom, DocuSign, etc.; Strong organizational, verbal, & written communication skills; Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, & some holidays. Bilingual in Spanish not required, but it is a plus. Expected hours: 37.50 per week. Mon-Sat. Wage: $20.00 hr. (#5.0924.108 – Delano)
