Maintenance Technician

Duties include: Prioritizing work order requests; Scheduling & performing maintenance of units & public spaces including grounds, building, parking lots, sprinkler systems, fences, & facilities; Completing unit repairs; Completing move-in inspections; Scheduling refurbishing by vendors & supervising for quality work & adherence to project specifications; Performing light electrical including repairing/replacing switches, receptacles, lights, & motors; Performing plumbing installations & repairs; Participating in preventative maintenance program; Performing floor & carpet cleaning & maintenance; Participating in on-call emergency schedule; Providing effective & courteous service to all residents, guests, & co-workers; Ensuring common areas are clean including restrooms, elevators, offices, public rooms, & resident lounges. Required qualifications: 1-3 yrs exp. in property maintenance, building maintenance, or construction; Ability to understand technical manuals & wiring schematics; Ability to troubleshoot control circuits; Understanding of basic pipe fitting; Good communication & interpersonal skills; Strong customer service orientation. Full-time, Temp-to-Hire position. Wage: $20.00-$24.00 hr. (#5.0912.106 – San Luis Obispo)
