United Staffing Associates is partnered with a business in Templeton, CA seeking a Temporary Payroll & HRIS Administrator. We are looking for a detail-oriented & experienced professional to support end-to-end payroll processing along with HRIS administration & general office duties. This role is ideal for someone who is highly accurate, dependable, & comfortable managing confidential information while supporting a variety of operational needs. Duties include: Processing weekly & biweekly payroll for multiple employee types, including exempt, non-exempt, seasonal, temporary, & H-2A workers; Reviewing & validating timekeeping data, corrections, deductions, bonuses, commissions, & leave balances; Monitoring timekeeping for errors, missed punches, & policy discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution; Maintaining strict compliance with federal, state, & local wage & hour requirements; Coordinating payroll tax filings & year-end reporting with payroll providers; Handling wage garnishments, child support orders, & other legally mandated deductions; Processing off-cycle payments, final paychecks, & retroactive adjustments; Maintaining payroll checklists, calendars, SOPs, & audit-ready documentation; Reconciling payroll reports, verifying GL coding, & supporting accounting with labor cost allocations; Preparing documentation for internal, external, & compliance audits; Protecting confidentiality & security of all payroll & personal employee data; Serving as primary HRIS administrator, managing system updates, user access, & accurate employee recordkeeping; Supporting job changes, compensation updates, benefits enrollment, & status changes; Implementing workflow improvements & process automation within HRIS; Managing HRIS integrations (e.g., timekeeping platforms, benefits tools, & third-party vendors); Troubleshooting system issues & coordinating with HRIS vendor for resolution; Answering phones & assisting with front-office communication; Handling & distributing incoming & outgoing mail; Ordering office supplies & maintaining inventory; Assisting with travel arrangements & scheduling; Supporting day-to-day administrative needs assigned. Required qualifications: Strong payroll & HRIS exp.; Exp. processing both hourly & piece-rate employee payroll; Excellent attention-to-detail, accuracy, & time-management skills; Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion; Strong communication & organizational skills; Ability to work onsite. Exp. with ADP is strong plus. Previous exp. in payroll administration or HR support strongly preferred. Temporary position. Wage: $30.00-$33.00 hr. DOE. (#5.1125.101 – Paso Robles)
