Production Welder

Need skilled Welder to cut & join metals & other materials at facility in Murrieta, CA. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with great deal of precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure. Duties include: Reading blueprints & drawings & taking or reading measurements to plan layouts & procedures; Determining appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements; Setting up components for welding according to specifications; Operating angle grinders to prepare parts that must be welded; Aligning components using calipers, rulers, etc. & clamping pieces; Welding components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead); Determining if weld meets ASME specifications; Maintaining equipment in condition that does not compromise safety. Required qualifications: Min. 1 yr. welding & fabrication exp.; Proven exp. as welder; Exp. using variety of welding equipment & procedures (GTAW, SMAW, FCAW); Exp. in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.); Ability to read & interpret technical documents & drawings; Knowledge of relative safety standards & willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.); Steady hand & great attention-to-detail; Knowledge of different kinds of metal & their properties. Successful completion of relevant apprenticeship program a plus. Professional Certification/AWS welding certificate is a plus. Wage: $20.00-$26.00 hr. (#3.1107.119 – Wildomar)
