Prep Cook

Needed for fine-dining restaurant in Paso Robles, CA. No experience necessary. Will play essential role in laying foundation for successful breakfast, lunch, or dinner service by ensuring that kitchen is well-prepared & ingredients are readily available. Duties include: Preparing ingredients including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, measuring spices, & preparing sauces; Maintaining well-stocked & organized kitchen, ensuring ingredients are properly labeled & stored; Assisting Line Cooks with assembling salads & other light cooking duties; Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, equipment, & utensils; Communicating shortages or issues with ingredients to lead kitchen staff; Assisting with other tasks as needed including dishwashing & prepping for catering/events. Required qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively amongst kitchen staff; Attention-to-detail to minimize errors in ingredient measurements or preparation methods; Ability to multitask in fast-paced work environment; Able to work weekends. Prior exp. as Prep Cook is a strong plus. Morning &/or evening shifts available, ranging from 6:00am-10:30pm. Temp-to-Hire position. Wage: $17.00 hr. (#4.0422.101 – Paso Robles)
